Abstract
Perioperative antibiotic prophylaxis is a very important aspect in avoiding infections
after total joint prosthesis. Which antibiotic is the best for this procedure? To
answer this question we examined the serum- and tissue kinetics of Optocillin (Mezlocillin/
Oxacillin), Claforan (Cefotaxim) and Spizef (Cefotiam) in patients undergoing total
hip replacement. Furthermore we examined the effect on the most important germs by
means of the MIC 90. The results are presented and discussed.
Zusammenfassung
Die Antibiotikaprophylaxe stellt einen wichtigen Aspekt bei der Vermeidung von Infektionen
nach endoprothetischem Gelenkersatz dar. Welches Medikament ist dafür am besten geeignet?
Um diese Frage zu beantworten, wurden Optocillin (Mezlocillin und Oxacillin), Claforan
(Cefotaxim) und Spizef (Cefotiam) bez. ihrer Gewebekinetik bei der Hüftendoprothetik
untersucht. Weiterhin wurde die Wirksamkeit gegenüber den wichtigsten Keimen anhand
der MHK 90 überprüft. Die Ergebnisse werden dargestellt und diskutiert.
